Sustainability Series | Part 2: Golf in a nature reserve? That means water matters more than ever
The Espiche Golf course is built on karst limestone, which hosts a natural aquifer beneath it—a water lens vital to the surrounding ecosystem.
Water is one of the most critical issues for golf course management. That’s why Espiche Golf has adopted a responsible approach to both water consumption and water quality. Every six months, water quality is monitored by accredited entities to ensure key parameters stay within safe and sustainable limits.

Espiche Golf conserves up to one-third less water than other regional courses by using drought-resistant grasses, modern irrigation, and climate-responsive monitoring.
We are proud to demonstrate how sustainability and sport can coexist.
