Course Works Update: Summer 2026

At Espiche Golf, we are committed to providing excellent playing conditions all year round. As part of this commitment, we would like to inform you of some important course maintenance and improvement projects that will be taking place this summer.

Hollow Coring of Greens:
The next greens hollow coring work will take place from June 29 to July 2. This vital maintenance process helps to:

  • Improve drainage
  • Reduce soil compaction
  • Stimulate healthy root growth

While this work may cause some short-term disruption, the long-term benefits to the quality of the greens and playability are substantial. We thank you in advance for your understanding and support during this period.

Improvement Highlights

Equipment Update

Over the past months, we have received two key additions to the maintenance fleet:

  • A new CASE backhoe loader
  • A new electric greens mower

These upgrades are now fully operational and support improved efficiency, performance and sustainability in our course maintenance operations.

Irrigation System

We continue to make steady progress on the irrigation system across the course, focusing on optimisation and long-term reliability.

This remains a key ongoing priority to ensure consistent playing conditions and improved water efficiency throughout the course.

Tees Improvement – Hole 5

Works on Hole 5 tees have now been completed, including:

  • Replacement of irrigation pipes and sprinklers
  • Extension of the yellow tees
  • Installation of a 1.2 mm protective membrane beneath the turf. This membrane helps prevent root intrusion from surrounding trees and vegetation, ensuring improved tee quality, stability and long-term performance.
